I just tried the forum to post about the recent shows, and it timed out on me. It is officially not functional.
I didn't realize everyone was already talking about moving. For one of my companies, I own a data center (no, not a rinky dinky setup), and also have a political forum with a friend for fun (conservativepoliticalforum.com to check out the speed). It's running SMF, and we're getting 10k to 30k views per day.
My two cents, it doesn't make sense to pay for a board when a stable open source board works just fine (like SMF). Any money pooled together should be put towards a good hosting platform with guys that know what they're doing. The godaddys and namecheaps are all crap, but I don't know how important that is for this site (I guess anything would be a step up). Or, I may cover the hosting costs, depending on what folks want to do.
99% of the battle is getting folks to the new site. If there is a plan for that, then it's good to go... I would see how many folks at least come here to touch base, giving an indication of how many/who would move (if not done already).
Anyway, lemme know....

I still visit the 30 but I leave the page loading and come back to it 15 minutes later.
