Did anybody else stick with it it? It finally ended Sunday and while the show was a letdown compared to how well it started I have to say that I was glad I hung in there. It reminded me of how good Law and Order used to be. I know Neil loved the original version and after reading this article I can see why. www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/05/14/the-killing-how-amc-s-adaptation-of-forbrydelsen-went-wrong.htmlIt's too bad Veena Sud felt she had to change up the story for an American audience. A scene for scene recreation of the Danish version would still have been popular especially with the AMC fans.

Yeah, I watched until the end, but I was annoyed with it and barely concentrating. If you can read (subtitles), watch the Danish original and the second season as well. Also great: Borgen (about to be remade by NBC), The Bridge and Wallander (completely in English, starring Kenneth Branagh). www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-17853928

Nope, but I watched the finale to see who killed Rosie.

I guess I'm one of the only people who more or less enjoyed this show all the way through. Sure, there were way too many red herrings, but I stuck with it because I liked the characters, particularly Linden and Holder and their chemistry. I actually liked the finale. I found the whole sister reveal to be pretty emotionally impactful because she was a likeable character. I would give the series as a whole a 7/10 (if it just ends now, I guess a 3rd season is a possibility).
Of course I'm not comparing it to the original because I haven't seen it. I wasn't gonna watch any of that until the AMC version was done. Should I even watch it now? Will I know everything that's going to happen?
