1) The Filthy Thieving Bastards (google them and take a listen) 2) Mercedes E-550 3) Fishing, shooting, playing guitar, drinking beer Not a bad band at all. I listened to a few of their tunes on Youtube. After that I decided to check out a band called Dropkick Murphys, who my brother thinks walk on water. I got a kick out of this tune. youtu.be/D7g3RuoreRcThe lyrics are pretty humorous, though I don't know if I could sit through two hours of the drunken Irish themed music. S.C.

The Dropkick Murphys look like a cheap Pogues knock-off!
I was a big Pogues fan in the olden days. Shane isn't the same since he had his teeth done though!
They used to be called Pogue Mahone (Irish for Kiss My Arse).

It's a lot more fun live. Last year my girl and I went to a night concert at the zoo featuring some drunken Irish group. I've never been into that type of music but when the crowd was enjoying it and people all around were doing crazy Irish jigs it really became infectious. I'm sure the drinking helped.

Love the Pogues! And I loved Dropkick Murphys' first three or four albums. MacGowan guests on the Dropkick song "Good Rats" and is delightfully unintelligible throughout (see here for how drunk he was during the recording www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJb18icjI58 ).
