So my gf and I were watching her sisters kids and the 2 year old fell head first on the 5 year old girls face. She starts wailing and blood is pouring out her nose. Fuck. I froze. Then my gf grabbed the girl and some Kleenex and took care of it like it was nothing. I didn't realize kids could recover so easily, my instinct would have been emergency room but then I saw it would have been over reacting. I can see why first time parents rush to the emergency room over nothing. This is where first aid being taught in high school would be a huge step in the right direction. I'm not saying I run to the hospital over nothing, I hate the place, but with kids my gut reaction is to find help. Any of you take classes before having kids? Do they cover these types of incidents? Nah basically you have kids and then have a series of "whew, that could have been bad" moments. My oldest loved to get on those baby walkers and cruise around the house, and of course one day we were cooking rice in the rice cooker and he grabbed the plug cord and pulled the whole thing off the counter. Good thing it was done with the cooking part, and he just got the hot rice on his back. If that was full of hot water that would have been pretty bad. Later when he learned how to walk he did a beauty of a header onto the base of our TV unit deal and made a nice divot on his forehead that lasted for a couple of weeks. Then you get another boy and you have a series of stuntman type of accidents and wonder how the fuck they are going to live to the age of 5.

It is always cool to read the origins of phrases we use day to day. I could read that one for awhile. Yeah, me too. My mom was looking for a new way to say, "There's more than one way to skin a cat." We found out the phrase isn't about cats at all. It's about catFISH. Much less off-putting. I assumed it was something about a cat too, but never put much thought into it. Like when people say "it's the cat's meow" or something stupid.

So I'm in New Mexico right now and I've noticed some weird things. Lots of PBS, chile, bikers sans helmets, smokers everywhere. Wtf? I like it. The PBS is mostly cooking shows, home improvement and masterpiece theater. I especially love the BBQ university show. That guy makes it look way too easy. Also, the weather is great. Except for the fires. I need to spend more time in that state. I have an open invitation to stay with a buddy in Santa Fe (Saint Iron?) and ride with him. BTW FF......Bring home lots of fireworks, assuming you drove there. S.C.

My only exposure to Giovanni is a few ACS superfan podcasts and a few mentions about him on .30 & how he refuses to post there anymore. What is his story? From the little I know (and now heard) he seems way too annoying and sensitive to be a respected member of this community. Can anyone fill in the blanks, because after listening to that mess of a podcast I'm confused how he has any "fans". He has some serious issues. His fan base is probably from those who have not directly dealt with him and know him through Adam. I seriously think Adam should keep his distance from a dude like him. I notice it has been quite awhile since I have heard them together, so perhaps Adam came to the same conclusion.

The streets and traffic are a little weird with the plaza setup and windy roads plus one way streets but it's ok once you get used to it. It reminded me of my childhood trips to old town in San Diego. I'll remember to pick up some fireworks, and high capacity mags.

Hags on the View talking about how fathers need to play a more protective role in their children's lives to prevent molestation/abuse and even got applause for the suggestion of violence by said fathers towards the offenders. Fuck, stop trying to pussify the public you crackheads and maybe old fashioned justice can return. Stupid hags.

I might be thinking of a different person, but I thought she's always been a bit more liberal minded.

So I took a banana with the peel still on and proceeded to stick a pin through the peel and into the flesh of the banana. I then moved the pin laterally left and right (I know, redundant) and let the pin cut through the flesh of the banana. I did this about every inch from top to bottom.
I then walked up to a couple of guys at work and said “Hey, check out what Chiquita is doing with bananas now.....Pre-slicing”.
I peeled the banana and just pulled a nicely sliced piece off the top and popped it in my mouth. Then I did the next piece down, etc. These guys were floored. Discussion started on how Chiquita managed to get this done.
Before they got too serious about the whole thing, I told them the truth.

Genius. I gotta try that. The mass email with blackmail pics of my coworkers really put me in the hot seat last time I tried to pull a prank.
