It is always cool to read the origins of phrases we use day to day. I could read that one for awhile.

It is always cool to read the origins of phrases we use day to day. I could read that one for awhile. Yeah, me too. My mom was looking for a new way to say, "There's more than one way to skin a cat." We found out the phrase isn't about cats at all. It's about catFISH. Much less off-putting.

So I'm in New Mexico right now and I've noticed some weird things. Lots of PBS, chile, bikers sans helmets, smokers everywhere. Wtf? I like it. The PBS is mostly cooking shows, home improvement and masterpiece theater. I especially love the BBQ university show. That guy makes it look way too easy. Also, the weather is great. Except for the fires.

So....am I the only one around here that listened to GIO Podcast 136, wherein our own Tardbasket is interviewed? Also, Tard, why aren't you acknowledging your new found fame?

Gio doesn't have a thread here. Tell him to visit and post so long as he can handle the occasional bullying.

Why is GIO a mess? I don't keep up with the GIOs. His bird moved in, then moved out? I will skip to the tardbasket interview.

I'm glad I picked up one fan. If I can touch one soul my job is done. TardbasketCarolla says "Gio, Work on yourself". NeilTCarolla says "Hey, what are you gonna do?"

I did talk to Giovanni about 3 days after his woman ran away so it was very awkward, but it was good of him to keep our appointment.

Why is GIO a mess? I don't keep up with the GIOs. His bird moved in, then moved out? I will skip to the tardbasket interview. #136 is the first ever GIO podcast I've listened to because it was devoted to Dr. Dave and had tardbasket on it..! The first 1/2 hour is Giovanni going on & on about some girl named Katie. Without any context it was very disturbing. The guy seemed extremely unstable and whiny. Fast forward to tardbasket's section and Giovanni continued the woe-is-me tone. My only exposure to Giovanni is a few ACS superfan podcasts and a few mentions about him on .30 & how he refuses to post there anymore. What is his story? From the little I know (and now heard) he seems way too annoying and sensitive to be a respected member of this community. Can anyone fill in the blanks, because after listening to that mess of a podcast I'm confused how he has any "fans".

Gio should listen to this show called "The Lovelines" from 1995-2005. There was this guy on there -- I think he's called Alan Drillin.
He had some good advice for the young 'uns about heartbreak.
