Pssh. There aren't any. If you really want to learn some cool stuff to do, find a good couples massage class and take that. If you want it to be strictly non sexual stuff, take a Thai massage class together.

You know, there are a few good videos on YouTube. But they're technical stuff you wouldn't be interested in. (Unless by, "impress the ladies" you meant "release their liver ligaments with the Barral technique")

The part that throws me off though is where it looks like she's running her fingers down the spine but I thought that was a big no-no.

Also, what oils do you use and where do you get them from?
ETA: Crap. Should have read the comments on the vid. She uses EVOO. Have you tried it?

Running commentary:
She's in her 50s and I can't believe she doesn't have arthritis with the way she's using her hands incorrectly. Everyone who knows anything knows what crepitis is. Any layperson who tried that occiput move where she's pushing against the atlas would push the atlas forward and ruin someone's neck. BAD thumb work on the shoulders. BAD.
Look, that video is for people who have already taken a Swedish class and learned contraindications, how to hold your body and how to hold your hands (although this woman is terrible at that). If you tried to do that same stuff she was doing you'd hurt someone. It's fine to run your fingers down someone's spine if you know exactly how to do it and exactly what not to do.
If you ever come to Atlanta I'll show you some cool shit that will blow anyone's mind. If you won't take a class, I don't know what to tell you. YouTube ain't the answer.

I've tried dozens of oils, lotions, creams, gels, homemade recipes, naturals, synthetics, and every mix between.
The best, by far, is plain coconut oil. It's GREAT for your skin, it washes out of sheets easily, it's actually good for you if it gets in your mouth and if you're doing that kind of massage, it's a great sex lube for after the massage is over.
Its only drawback is that it smells like coconut oil and if someone doesn't like that, they won't like the oil. You can go to Whole Foods and get some lavender essential oil (DO NOT get a 'fragrance oil" only real essential oil is OK for this) and mix it in. Lavender and coconut oil smell good together.

Also, only get lavender. Too many of the other oils could burn your skin if you used them at the wrong dilution. It won't matter with lavender. Lavender can be used neat on the skin (without being diluted) as long as it's the real essential oil.

Huh. I've actually gotten coconut oil from whole foods but it was like a paste or lard. Is that the same stuff?

Coconut oil is semi-solid below 72° or so and a liquid above that. The instant it makes contact with your hands it melts and can easily be slathered all over someone's body.

I missed you asking about olive oil. I think it smells terrible as a massage oil. I'm sure it's good for your skin; probably very, very good. But no one wants to walk around smelling like that. Plus it doesn't wash out of sheets as easily. It gets rancid much more quickly than coconut oil too. Coconut oil has a shelf life of almost 5 years. It's all medium chain fatty acids that don't oxidize very easily. Olive oil is short chains that do oxidize rather quickly.
